ADOCOC pide libertad del Pastor y médico Julio Gómez

Santo Domingo, R. D. -La Asociación Dominicana de Comunicadores Cristianos ADOCOC reclama la libertad del pastor, filántropo y médico Julio Gómez Ramírez, encarcelado injustamente acusado de linchar al sr. Miguel Báez Sirí álias “Lagrimita” (señalado como reconocido delincuente), en el sector Sabana Perdida de la capital.
ADOCOC se une al reclamo hecho por el Colegio Médico Dominicano, Asociación de Clinicas Privadas, Asociaciones de Pastores, Comunitarios y varias organizaciones representativas de la sociedad, que consideran injusta la prisión del Sr. Julio Gómez Ramírez y un pariente suyo.
Según testimonios de comunitarios y residentes en el sector, una turba linchó al antisocial, luego de éste haber penetrado a la vivienda del médico para robar y al ser sorprendido e intentar emprender la huida fue alcanzado por la turba que, indignada, le propinó golpes que le causaron la muerte.
ADOCOC no entiende como de víctima, el Pastor Gómez Ramírez, resultó ser victimario, siendo apresado y encarcelado en la cárcel de La Victoria, donde guarda prisión injustamente.
La institución que agrupa a los comunicadores cristianos del país, exige a las autoridades judiciales que se esclarezca el caso y que se convenzan de la inocencia del Sr. Julio Gómez y su pariente (que resultó herido en el incidente).
La proxima audiencia será el martes 13 de marzo. Están esperanzados en que Dios iluminará a quienes conocerán este caso en la audiencia y pueda ser declarado inocente y salir en libertad, y se haga justicia.
Explainer: Christians Hold Different Opinions About Moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem
Last week, the United States announced it would open its embassy in Jerusalem in May to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Israel – ahead of schedule.
While some Christians advocated for moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, others cautioned the move could appear provocative and incite violence.
News about Israel is of interest to many Christians primarily because of prophecy, not politics. Specifically, some Christians believe moving the US embassy to Jerusalem is a prophetic sign; others, however, aren’t so sure.
Last month, I summarized the findings of LifeWay’s recent survey of Christian beliefs about issues involving Israel – from the nation’s place in the Bible to its treatment of Palestinians. In that survey, 80% of evangelicals said the “rebirth” of Israel in 1948 was a fulfillment of biblical prophecy.
With the May deadline approaching, let’s examine two different opinions Christians hold about the US embassy move to Jerusalem.
Position # 1 – Moving the US embassy to Jerusalem is a bad idea.
– Christians who hold this position worry the embassy move could lead to violence and bloodshed.
– They reject the notion that God’s promises to Abram apply to modern Israel.
– Their concern is peacemaking, and they don’t want to support practices that seem contrary to the teachings of Jesus, particularly injustice.
